Isalo National Park is a natural mountain range, reminiscent of the great atmosphere of America and the West. Take a stroll through this Jurassic setting, alternating desert landscapes and green canyons.
You will wander in absolutely arid zones with various colors and shapes. When you enter the forest, it is not uncommon for a lemur or a harmless snake to greet you.
You can roam the cliffs along small streams, watch the Nymph Falls (which carved a stone over time), or you can take a dip in the blue pool (refreshing relaxation during the tour).
The black pool is also worth a visit, but swimming in it is not recommended because the water has frozen.

What species live in these places?
Isalo Park has been the habitat of endemic rucicultural vegetation in its extensive ruin form since the Jurassic era. There are 116 types of medicines and wood for furniture and crafts.
The forest is covered with tapiya carpet, food of landibe, silkworm. You will also find a very specific fauna of the region, as well as many lemurs.
There are 77 bird species in the park, of which 70 percent are endemic – for example, Benson Rockbill, which is found only in Isalo. You will also find many other animals such as stone reptiles, giant eels and crocodiles!
What to do in Isalo Park?
Numerous contours are offered in Isalo Park, in particular rat canyons and monkey canyons.
Allow yourself to be tempted by a small hike or a more athletic hike along granite cliffs. Guided tours of the Portuguese cave or Namaz Canyon are also available.
